40% OF ALL FOOD PRODUCED IN CANADA EVERY YEAR IS WASTED, RELEASING HARMFUL GASES INTO THE ATMOSPHERE.
OUR PRODUCT
Once food waste is in a landfill, it doesn’t disappear. The same process of methane production that occurs in a landfill occurs in an anaerobic digester, however, most of the methane produced at a landfill is not captured for energy, and about half of the methane generated in the landfill escapes to the atmosphere.
By redirecting food waste, methane emissions and ultimately energy footprint can be significantly reduced. Because the byproduct can be used as a biofertilizer, there are no inherent waste products. Just as in nature, everything is reused during anaerobic digestion. Food waste will no longer be a waste, but a resource to generate additional revenue.
EASY TO USE
Food waste is fed into the digestion tank where the waste will biochemically degrade.
Produced biogas can be connected to your main complex to replace natural gas.
The byproduct produced, a high-quality fertiliser, can be removed regularly through the output pipe located external of the digestion tank
